Overview

ClassCAD is a headless, programmable CAD engine for building native, web-based, cloud-based, and automated CAD applications. It is not an end-user application — it is designed to be embedded into products, services, and workflows.

Client applications interact with ClassCAD exclusively through public APIs and API wrappers. All API calls follow the pattern:

api.<version>.<domain>.<method>(param)

Common

Cross-cutting references that apply across every domain. Read these first when starting any task — they describe the shared protocol and modeling primitives the per-domain APIs build on.

The data contract — what api.tree() and api.graphic() return and how to select geometry from it: DATA (distilled, read it before any tree/graphic scripting), STRUCTURE (the model tree in depth) and GRAPHICS (the graphic payload). Tools serve them under the same names (docs(["DATA"])).

Plans — what the signed-in account's plan enables (commercial use, exports, where a web app may run, access tokens): PLANS; the MCP's account tool reports the live answer.
