Look for sensor documentation in the supplied export. docs/modalities/ (one document per modality, with YAML blocks) is an example convention, not a required layout. Inspect documentation relevant to the question and check saved evidence against the actual source. Record stated definitions with their source references in useful workspace notes; an experiment card is optional. For the physics of a sensor class (fluorescence, reflectance, 3D scanning), use the L1 skill physiology-signals and size-and-growth-traits.

When the docs do not say something your analysis needs, ask the data owners and retain the unresolved question with the analysis; do not fill the gap from memory.
