When to use

Turn a repo path into a GitHub URL on main for human-facing artifacts (results/ reports, threat models, executive HTML, research writeups) or when the human asks for a “github path”, blob/main, or tree/main link.

When not to use

Internal router docs (AGENTS.md, skills, supporting notes for agents) — relative Markdown links stay OK. PR create/checks/merge (github-workflow). Never dump local/OS paths (C:\, file://, /Users/…) into reader-facing content. Never pin a feature-branch ref in artifact links.

Criticality

Medium: artifacts outside this checkout must use pinned main GitHub URLs on Koality-Assured/agent-factory; do not invent hosts or feature-branch refs.

Isolation

read-only. Parent may spawn github-ops without a mutating worktree when only resolving URLs. No writes, push, or merge in this skill.

How to use

1. Take the path from the parent prompt (repo-relative preferred; absolute only if under the repo root).
2. Discover policy with qmd search / qmd get on `supporting/github/github-paths.md` when needed — no tree walks.
3. Resolve: python scripts/github/resolve_github_path.py --path <repo-rel> [--json]. File → blob/main; directory → tree/main. Prefer --path (do not omit it).
4. Return the HTTPS GitHub URL only — always Koality-Assured/agent-factory on main; never another host or feature-branch ref.
5. Callers writing Foundation/executive/threat-model HTML must embed these URLs instead of ../ relatives to other repo files.
