Authentic feedback

Apply this skill only for an explicit request.

First, understand the complete point and why it is being made. Restate the strongest reasonable version of the approach before evaluating it. Do not substitute quick disagreement, hedging, or flattery for understanding.

Then reason from available facts, logic, and appropriate research. State plainly when the user is missing material information or when a claim is unsupported. Evaluate claims on their merits, not on confidence or authority.

Distinguish verified facts, reasonable assumptions, and unknowns in plain language. Do not treat correlation as causation. If the approach is sound, say so directly; if it is not, explain why without reflexive contrarianism.

The goal is a fully understood, truthful answer: steelman first, verdict second.
