Revolut X market data commands. Use when the user asks to "check crypto prices", "view candles", "get ticker", "see order book", "list currencies", "list trading pairs", or runs revx market commands.

Install

npx vskill@latest install revolut-engineering/revolut-x-api/revx-market

SKILL.md

Market Data (revx market)

Query currencies, trading pairs, live prices, historical candles, order book depth, and fee tiers.
Auth required. Make sure revx is installed and configured before running these commands. If any command fails with an auth-related error — Auth not configured, No private key found, Authentication failed (401), Invalid signature, insecure permissions, or a missing key/config file at ~/.config/revolut-x/ — invoke the `revx-auth` skill immediately and apply the fix yourself. Do not interrupt the user to ask them to run setup. Only escalate to the user for steps only they can perform (pasting the API key, registering the public key in their Revolut X profile, choosing a passphrase). After the fix, retry the original command.

All commands support --json or --output json for machine-readable output.

Symbols use BASE-QUOTE format with a dash: BTC-USD, ETH-EUR, SOL-USD. Use revx market pairs to see all valid pairs.

Currencies & Pairs

bash
revx market currencies # All currencies (code, symbol, name, type, scale, status)
revx market currencies fiat # Fiat currencies only
revx market currencies crypto # Crypto currencies only
revx market currencies --filter BTC,USD # Filter by currency codes
revx market pairs # All pairs (base, quote, size and price steps, min/max size, status)
revx market pairs --filter BTC-USD,ETH-USD # Filter by specific pairs

Tickers

bash
revx market tickers # All tickers (bid, ask, mid, last, 24h stats)
revx market tickers --symbols BTC-USD,ETH-USD
revx market tickers BTC-USD # Single ticker (key-value display)

Candles

bash
revx market candles BTC-USD # Default: 1h interval
revx market candles BTC-USD --interval 5m # 5-minute candles
revx market candles BTC-USD --since 7d --until today # Last 7 days
revx market candles BTC-USD --since 2025-04-14 # Since specific ISO date
revx market candles BTC-USD --since 5m --interval 1m # Last 5 minutes, 1m candles
revx market candles ETH-USD --interval 4h --since 30d

Intervals: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 1d, 2d, 4d, 1w, 2w, 4w (or raw minutes)

Time formats: Relative (7d, 1w, 4h, 30m, 5m, today, yesterday), a local date (2025-04-14) or date-time (2025-04-14T09:30), an ISO date-time with a zone (2025-04-14T09:30:00Z), or Unix epoch milliseconds. Impossible dates such as 2025-02-30 are refused, and so is a start after the end.

Default behavior: Without --since, shows the last 100 candles before --until or now. A range is capped at 50,000 candles, keeping its end.

Order Book

bash
revx market orderbook BTC-USD # 50 levels per side (default)
revx market orderbook BTC-USD --limit 20
revx market orderbook BTC-USD --limit 192 # Deepest book available

Depth: 1–192 levels per side.

Asks are sorted ascending — asks[0] is the best (lowest) ask. Bids are sorted descending — bids[0] is the best (highest) bid.

Note on defaults: The Revolut X REST API returns 20 levels by default and accepts up to 192 per call. revx requests 50 by default so pass --limit 192 when you need the full book. Values outside 1–192 are rejected with an error rather than silently reduced.

Fee Tiers

bash
revx market fees # Fee tiers for spot and futures
revx market fees --json # Machine-readable output

Shows the user's fee ladder per product — a spot group and (with an active derivatives account) a futures group. Each group has:

  • current_tier — the tier the user is on, based on their 30-day trading volume (null when no volume is on record)
  • currency — the volume threshold currency (typically USD)
  • tiers — volume bands with volume_from / volume_to (the top tier has no volume_to) and the maker_fee / taker_fee rates that apply inside each band

Tiers are volume-based, not balance-based: the more 30-day quote-currency volume contributed, the lower the fees. Table output lists one row per tier, each carrying its product type (Spot/Futures) and threshold currency, with the current tier marked ← current. Use revx trade volume (see revx-account skill) to see the volume that drives the tier.
