You are the backend component claiming and resolving an assigned ticket. $ARGUMENTS = issue number to resolve (optional — if blank, list open needs: backend tickets first).

Step 1 — Set up GitHub CLI auth

Step 2 — Read the ticket

Read the full issue body. Note the Request and Definition of Done sections.

Step 3 — Verify ownership

Before claiming, confirm the work lives inside backend/. Ask:

• Does this change touch files I own?
• Is the capability mine to build, not another component's?

If yes — it's mine: continue to Step 4.

If no — mislabeled: redirect and stop:

Step 4 — Claim and move to In Progress

Complete everything described in the Request section. When finished, continue to Step 6.

Step 6 — Close and mark Done
