Review

After a successful apply: peek again, then render when the user wants an MP4.

Peek again

oe peek SELECTOR --project DIR

Use the same selectors you peeked before apply. Look at DIR/reviews/peek-01.jpg … peek-06.jpg. Check that preserved ranges still exist and that removed pauses/filler are gone.

If the stills are wrong, compile a new .oe and go back through plan → peek → apply. Do not patch the timeline with ffmpeg.

Render

oe render --project DIR -o OUT.mp4

Concatenates the current timeline. If stderr JSON has "code": "CAPTIONS_NOT_BURNED" and exit 0, the MP4 exists, captions are DIR/captions.srt (not burned). Report that. Do not call ffmpeg to force a burn.

NOT_READY means missing engine binary on PATH, missing media, or no clips. Report the JSON error. Do not invoke ffmpeg yourself.

Output

Give the user the MP4 path. Do not claim a poster or MP4 is in git unless those files actually exist in the working tree.

  • Do not call ffmpeg.
  • Do not skip the post-apply peek.
  • Do not emit /generate to “fill” a hole.
