Draft Follow-Up Message

Works with Evergreen, a local-first personal CRM for macOS. Get it on the Mac App Store.

When to Use

After a meeting and you need to send a recap or thank-you
Following up on a promised deliverable or introduction
Checking in with someone you haven't talked to recently
Responding to a trigger (job change, funding news, birthday)

How It Works

Retrieve the contact with get_contact for full profile
Pull recent interactions with get_contact_interactions for conversation history
Check pending actions with list_actions({ contactId, status: "pending" }) for any commitments, using the ID of the contact being reviewed
Review the contact's network with get_contact_network for shared connections context
Draft a message that references specific shared history and feels personal
After sending, log the interaction with log_interaction
Mark any related actions complete with mark_action_completed

Pending action: "Send API documentation" (due Apr 2)
Notes: "Interested in our healthcare data pipeline"

Drafted message:

Subject: API docs + a few thoughts from our chat
 
Hi Sarah,
 
Great catching up at the dinner last month. I've been thinking more
about the integration approach we discussed for Meridian's patient
data pipeline.

Writing Principles

Principle	Meaning
Specific	Reference real details from your history, not generic pleasantries
Brief	Respect their time — get to the point in 3-5 sentences
Action-oriented	Include a clear next step or question
Authentic	Match the user's natural voice and relationship level
Contextual	Show you remember what matters to them
